"One of my fondest memories is definitely making when we first - when my parents first got this house, in the front yard laying out a big sort of clean sheet and making - drying tarhana, the soup, like all the fermented veggies and stuff. And like friends, friends in the neighbourhood biking by would be like, "What are you guys doing?", and I'd say "We're making this fermented soup," but on the lawn, you know on a sunny afternoon and just, you know your grandma's telling stories about her growing up. It's just, its such a bonding, it was such a bonding thing. And like, you know to hear the history - your own history actually, unfolding when people are cooking and talking together. And so it's a very nice, it's a nice feeling. It's feeling that connected feeling with your family and your roots."
